REMY

The Trading Agent OS.

Download the app, press Start, and you get a local desk — paper first, live crypto only when you add your own keys.

Local gateway Paper by default MCP tools
01 · Overview

Your desk in four layers

Remy is not a website trade bot. It is a local operating loop: an app that boots a gateway on your machine, routes prompts to the right model, and executes real tools.

Launcher Mac / Windows app · Start / Stop UI Gateway 127.0.0.1:18792 · local HTTP + MCP CORE Agent + Router R0–R3 model pick · turn memory BRAIN Tools & Brokers Paper · live crypto (your keys) · tape HANDS
Everything below the launcher stays on your machine unless you choose otherwise.
02 · Install & Start

From download to online desk

No terminal required for the default path. The launcher installs what it needs, boots the gateway, then opens Terminal or Control in your browser.

  1. 01 Download Mac .dmg or Windows Setup
  2. 02 Install Drag to Apps / run Setup
  3. 03 Start One button in the Remy app
  4. 04 Desk live Open Terminal or Control
Typical first-run path. Unsigned builds may show OS security prompts until signing is configured.
Gateway address 127.0.0.1:18792

Only reachable from your machine. Stop Remy anytime from the launcher.

03 · Architecture

Signal flow across the desk

You talk to Remy. Remy routes. Tools execute. Approvals pause big moves. Fills and memory stay local under ~/.remy.

You prompt / intent Router R0 → R3 pick Model your provider key MCP tools real calls only Approvals large / live pause Broker paper or live Memory ~/.remy · replay
Packets never invent fills — tool results are the source of truth.
04 · Turn loop

One turn, five beats

Every conversation turn follows the same cadence. Hover or wait — the ring steps through each beat automatically.

05 · Smart router

Spend power only when it pays

Trivial asks stay on cheap tiers. Hard analysis and live liquidations climb the ladder. The bars below show relative cost vs capability — not hard dollar prices.

R0Trivial

greetings · help · status

R1Simple

quotes · small explainers

R2Hard

analysis · multi-step plans

R3Critical

Bring your own key (OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama, and more).
06 · Paper & live

Practice first. Live later.

Paper is the default desk — fractional fills against a live tape with a simulated balance. Live crypto unlocks only after you attach your own keys.

DEFAULT

Paper

  • Simulated equity & fractional size
  • Real market prices on the tape
  • No exchange keys required
OPT-IN

Live crypto

  • Robinhood Ed25519 when keyed
  • Approvals for large / live moves
  • Still runs through local gateway
Not financial advice. You own keys, risk, and outcomes.
07 · Surfaces

Where you work

Same gateway, two desks. Terminal for conversational trading. Control for structured oversight. Both open from the launcher once Remy is online.

08 · FAQ

Short answers

Do I need to code?

No. Download Remy for Mac or Windows, press Start, and use Terminal or Control in the browser.

Where does my data live?

On your machine — typically under ~/.remy (sqlite, jsonl replay). The gateway binds to localhost.

Is live trading on by default?

No. Paper is default. Live crypto requires your own keys and still goes through approvals for risky moves.

Which model providers work?

Bring your own key — OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama, Gemini, DeepSeek, and others the router can reach.

Where do I get the app?

Download section on the homepage.
